Using Weft
Terms of service.
Effective September 2, 2026 · Updated October 19, 2026
Weft is a group-planning messaging application operated by Phil Cunliffe. It sends automated text messages to registered members of a private group and provides browser rooms for their events. By opting in, you agree to these terms.
Program description
Weft sends transactional messages about your group’s plans: invitations, RSVP requests, notices that an event room has opened, personal room links, reminders, and event updates. It does not send marketing.
Consent
Your group’s organizer adds your number with your agreement. Text START to +1 (425) 696-4833 to opt in to recurring automated Weft text messages at the number you text from. If the organizer has arranged a confirmation invitation with you, replying YES to that confirmation also opts you in. Only confirmed members receive ongoing messages. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency and rates
Message frequency varies with the group’s plans, typically a few messages a week and more around an event. Msg & data rates may apply.
Opting out
Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages. You receive one opt-out confirmation and no further messages unless you opt in again. Reply START to rejoin. Opting out ends room access; old personal room links remain invalid after rejoining.
Browser rooms and AI assistance
Accepting an event invitation joins its shared room. Your personal link signs in as you, including your private conversation with Weft: keep it private. Group messages are visible to room members; use Talk privately for private requests. See the privacy policy for shared profiles and conversation visibility.
AI suggestions may be inaccurate. Check important details such as venue hours, addresses, and event times. Weft does not make bookings, and the service may be interrupted or unavailable. It is not an emergency service.
